| Paw Naturaw Raw Medallions -- What do you think? While searching online for locally made raw grinds today I stumbled across this brand that I am really interested in. We are still thinking about doing PMR but I would like to have an alternative, either my own grind or pre-made raw for the mornings/when we travel, etc. The two things I really like are that it is USDA-approved organic and is rather affordable. I can get a 3.5lb bag for around $15. Compared to $56 for a 4lb bag of Primal and $56 for a 3lb bag of Nature's Variety (on PetFoodDirect.com), that is a great deal. Of course, I haven't checked the local stores that carry Nature's Variety, it may be cheaper there. Raw feeders/nutrition experts, let me know if this is too good to be true! I refuse to skimp on quality just for price but if it really is a good product, I am beyond excited to have found it! Has anybody else heard of this company or use it?

| Wow that price is crazy! I pay 10 dollars for a 3lb bag which has 48 medallions in it, but I buy it from my vet so maybe that's why it's so cheap. It probably costs alot to ship it since they are frozen. Hopefully you find a place locally

| We've tried paw naturaw and really didn't like it. The quality seemed poor and Kona's poo which in normally really firm and little when eating raw was looser and more on this food. Kind of like his poo when he was on kibble. We actually tossed it and went back to nv. It's weird though because it didn't make sense how raw could be poor quality. Oh also, his coat was less shiny and he had more eye gunk when he was on it, again like he did when he was eating kibble. |

| Never heard it... Other brands of pre-mixes/premade raw that I like which I find are also reasonably priced are Dr. Harvey's Canine Health, Sojo's Grain Free, and Honest Kitchen - for premixes. Premade raw brands that I like as alternatives to Primal and NV are: Answer's Pet Food and Aunt Jeni's Home Made 4 Life Raw Dog Food.

You can read more about the ingredients in both at their website - Answers Raw Pet Food Company: Our Products Aunt Jeni's is great. It's complete and balanced and one does not have to add any supplements. It also comes in a variety of flavors too including: chicken, lamb, beef, rabbit, turkey and goat. One can also lightly cook Aunt Jeni's food - although feeding it raw is recommended, but for those that are "paranoid" or "afraid" it's a good alternative to slowly introduce one's dog and self to raw food. Aunt Jeni's has a lower meat ratio than Answers Pet food. The chicken, lamb, beef and rabbit varieties are made in a 65:35 ratio of meat, organs & bones to vegetables, eggs, & "extra" ingredients. Aunt Jeni's Turkey and Goat formulas are made in a 75:25 ratio of meat, organs & bones to vegetables, fruits and seeds/nuts. Here's some facts from the website: Aunt Jeni's Home Made 4 Life Raw Dog Food Benefits Food is made in their own facility, where they practice strict safety precautions and are stringent about keeping sanitary working conditions.
