OCD? appears to be compelled to stick her tongue My 4.5 yr old Yorkie has started sticking her tongue out..not to be confused with panting or licking. The tongue comes pretty much straight out and in. Could it be an anxiety issue?? Her face look stressed while she does this for long periods of time. It is very hard to distract her from it, if not impossible. We added a kitten to the home in April (she had lived the first 3 yrs of her life with a cat), moved in June. Tongue problem stared about 6 weeks ago. Vet has no experience with this. Has anyone seen this before? how do I fix it? many thanks

Did the vet check her teeth? Could there possibly be one that is infected and it is irritating her? I don't know what else to offer. Bump

I am very interested to see if anyone has info on this too! I have had my 7 year old Yorkie for just over a month. She does this tongue thing too. Sometimes she just can't stop! It looks like she does this quite a lot when we put her in her kennel if we go for a little while. When we come back her blanket has wet spots and her face is soaked.
