| Anyone still feeding Natural Balance Potato & Duck? Since they had a formula change...how are your pups doing on it? Max needs to go on a lower protein food and he was on NB Potato & Duck before we moved up the protein level. I am trying to decide between putting him back on this or trying the Sweet Potato & Venison or Wellness Healthy Weight. Thanks

| I'm feeding NB sweet potatoe and fish but I need to switch because they are gaining too much weight. Haven't figured out what to switch to since this is only food that helped balance their tummys.

| I've noticed that our babies have been eating more. I was thinking of switching as well, I'd like to get something in a small bites formula and that comes in a bigger size bag. |

| Max seems to have a barley allergy (if that is possible). When I try feeding him a food with barley he starts chewing on his feet more. That is the only common ingredient (besides brown rice) that the Innova and Wellness have in common that the NB Potato & Duck did not. He did not chew his feet while on the old NB. He also is not chewing his feet on the Acana (which he loves but is putting on wt. while on it). I wonder why they would eat more on the new NM P&D formula? Less duck and more potato? But then the protein level would have gone down if less duck. I hope the new formula has enough protein.

| I just started using it, I had read about everyone trying it... so I its been about a week now and sami isn't to happy with the change, I had been boiling chicken * rice for him so he has had a big let down from real meat to dry food but as long as I dont give in to him wanting treats or anything else I will sit with him and hand feed him a few pieces get the taste and then he will eat it. So he seems to like it or he is so hungry from not eating? Im really not sure at this time. It's been somewhat of a problem taking the chicken away. I can say the scratching has subsided. I bought him sweet pototoe and venison treats but he turns his nose up to them, so wasted money on that? opened the bag offered him one didn't even want it!

My Lil Man! Donating Member | I feed Gizmo Lifes Abundance and it has a weight watcher formula(but he is on the regular formula). Of the foods you have named off I used to feed Reeses NB Potato and Duck and he also had one time the Vension and sweet potato but that was before the change. |

YT 2000 Club Member | My dogs have been on Merricks for about 4/5 weeks now..(maybe longer, Ive lost track of time ) and thye LOVE it, it is the first higher quality food (other than dogswell) that they have continued to eat for more than a few days. They really like the turducken and they like all of the canned we have tried. They have a ton of energy, thier coats look great, thier eye staining has almost stopped/cleared up, they dont have that "doggy ordor" that they have had in the past with other foods, they are only pooping once or twice a day and they arent too expensive. Why do companies keep changing thier foods? I cant quite understand the logic of that, you have a product that people are happy with why change it??

UMM, now that you mention it Miracle always seems hungry. She goes crazy when I am preparing her food. I would have to say she is getting enough food she is gaining weight. We don't know EXACTLY what she is allergic to but I am pretty sure it's rice. Along with possible enviromental, i am taking her later this month to be allergy tested.

| I got Max some of the Sweet Potato and Venison. We'll see how it goes. After reading the Potato and Duck ingredients it is no wonder some of the dogs here are "hungry". If you look the first ingredient is Potatoes. The second is Duck and the third is potato protein or something like that. ***When you take the moisture out of the "Duck", it is moved farther down the list of ingredients. The water gives the Dusk more weight so they can put it higher on the ingredients list. The new formula no longer includes Duck Meal which is dehydrated and has more weight. This makes me mad. I see Pinnacle still has a Duck and Potato formula which includes Duck Meal. Same price as NB Duck and Potato. Pinnacle Holistic Duck & Potato Dry Dog Food at PETCO
