new member with a few questions hello i just got a 8 week old yorkie today , and i have some questions. I have her on Nutro Natural Choice puppy food, is that a good quality food for pups? and when should i get her on a raw diet? Its tough getting the puppy trained... but im working on it ha ha. I leave her in her small kennel at night, but when everyone is out during the day, should i leave her in a crate where she has some room to move around or keep her in the kennel also? she'll usually be alone for 5 hours each day. thank you

Welcome to YT!! Nutro is definitely not among the better/best quality foods out there. If you're interested in feeding a raw diet, I would say the sooner the better!! If you're crate training your puppy, you should have her confined to a small crate whenever she is not under supervision. However 5 hours is too long for an 8 week old puppy to be confined w/o a potty break, so if you have an x-pen, you can put down some potty pads for her to use while you're away. For more (and better!) advice, you can post a thread in the training forum! Good luck!

I don't like Nutro and there are DEFINITELY better choices. I have a new puppy also and immediately started her on the Nature's Variety Raw Medallions - she LOVES them!!! Right now we have the chicken - and soon I will rotate to the beef. Congrats on your new addition!
