| Does anyone use First Shield Trio from Banfield I just went to Banfield to pick up Sadie's flea and tick meds. they switched from K-9 advantix to First Shield Trip which has an extra part that kills flea eggs. it has: dinotefuran pyriproxyfen permethrin does anyone else use this and how did your dogs do with it? |

| I got it from Banfield too. I've used it for 2 months so far...it used to be called Vectra 3D (to help you research more about it). The reason I switched from K9 Advtx is because the fleas in GA were SO bad this summer I thought the newer brand would be better as less fleas would have resistance to it. She's doing fine on it...Although, I think I am going to switch back to K9 Advtx after summer is over purely because the First Shield has SO much in one dose that it makes me nervous putting that much stuff on her regardless of if they say it is safe! But that is just my paranoia... she is doing fine on it. PS a lot of people will tell you it's horrible and has a horrible ingredient in it...the permethrin I think...but the vet assured me it is okay....just make sure not to use on cats as it is lethal to them.
