| couple of questions first off thank you all for all the help and advice we get from this forum. i just have a couple questions for now. first question, my Belle like to lick jeans. she will lick until you can feel it getting wet underneath. is this something i should check into or is it something she just does? Question 2 after you give her a bath within a day her skin seems like its sweaty or greasey. is there a reason why it get that way so fast? thanks again for everything. i hope that i explained that so you can understand |

| In answer to your query about the licking; mine do it as well. To the point of leaving a wet spot. I think it might have to do with subservience and alpha predominance in pack communities. As for her skin, what shampoo are you using on her? Do you groom her alot? |

| licker One of mine licks my dh's watch all the time, and one licks the top of his head (he's bald) I think it's the salty taste of the skin. As for jean licking...maybe it's a denim fettish!

As far as looking sweaty or greasy. First thought would be what are you using to shampoo/conditon with? Are you making sure to rinse extra well? I always rinse until I think I am done, and then twice more. I have foiund some conditioners leave mine greasy looking. For instance, Cowboy Magic Detangler is great for a mat removal but takes forever to rinse out enough they will not be a greasy mess the next day. If it is not the product, then diet might be another thing to look at. Good quality kibble? No table scraps with too much fat or grease? Third, would be health concerns. Thyroid problems, for instance can leave them anywhere from extra dry, to greasy and extra sweaty. Hope some ideas might be useful! Good luck!
