We finally have a place to get better food for Sophie... ...Now I've just got to decide what to buy! They sell Taste of the Wild, Merrick (regular & before grain), Orijen, Acana, and a couple others I haven't heard of. I'm so excited! Now I can either get the Wellness, Solid Gold, or NB at Petco or I can go to the new store and get one of the others! I'm so happy! Yay!!! Now I just have to decide what to get!

I'm debating between the origen or the merrick's before grain. Sophie sometimes scratches so I want to try something with no grain. They sell the 1 lb sample bags there for a great price and I thought I might try that first. I was thinking of trying the before grain salmon...anyone had any experience with it?

I would go with Orijen. If they sell the one pound sample bags, I just buy 3-4 of those at a time. It's much cheaper than the 5 pound bag and it insures that the kibble stays fresh. Orijen or a raw diet are the only options for me.

| Snickers got diarreah from Before Grain, but it has worked well for some other Yorkies. I would go with the Orijen if your pup will eat it. Get sample bags of a few and see which your pup will like. If you put a few out, check and see which kibble Sophie goes for most often. That's how I chose. Snickers would pick out certain kibble. Good Luck -Snick & Viv

I think I'm going to go with the Orijen. It seems to be a good food (6 star on dogfoodanalysis.com and lots of YTers use it). I'm hoping she likes it! Got to finish out this bag of Royal Canin first though! LOL

Make sure you start mixing with the Orijen when you get down to the last bit of the RC. You don't want to abruptly change her diet over to the Orijen.

Thanks for the advice. That's what we did when we switched to Royal Canin from the Science Diet. Thanks again!
