| All of a sudden eating more food Baxter has started cleaning his bowl out in the morning and in the evening. He even ate yesterday while we were gone. (I free feed) He never eats while we are at work. It is the strangest thing. I don't think he's eating too much. He's not fat but he is starting to fill in where he used to be super skinny. He will be 2 in December. Is this normal? |

| Take a stool sample to the Vet. and have it tested for parisites. If that is neg. then just keep an eye on his weight.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If he was too skinny before, he might just be normalizing his weight for some reason. Are there any other symptoms at all? Do his ribs feel good (ie, not to prominent, not too "buried")?

| I wondered if he was just 'filling in'. He reminds me of my nephew when he got to be 12-13. Couldn't eat enough! |

| Max is now 1 1/2 years. He has days were he eats a little and days when he really chows down.

| Kimbo is 4 months and 3.1 lbs. He has tested negative for parasites and eats like a BIG piggy. He would eat his weight in food if I let him. No free grazing for us because of that. Im sure your baby is fine. Checking his stool sample should offer you some peace of mind though. |

| Mya is going through the SAME thing! She was always SO skinny I called her my anorexic model cuz she has such long legs . But in the last 2 months she eats probably a cup a day (on a normal day) where as she used to only eat MAYBE 1/4cup a day. She has filled out too but looks better She is almost 1.5 years old.

| There are many different opinons about free feeding. If you have not already done so, I would suggest googling the topic and reading about it. Many pups end up having problems when free fed. Not saying that he is developing a problem, but certainly something to look into.
