| Sick Yorkie Hi, We have a sick yorkie that has been to the vet several times and is going again in the morning. She has developed a problem assimilating proteins into her system. Her belly swells up like she is ready to deliver puppies. Our vet said that the serum from her blood is entering into her stomach. It is like she is getting no protein at all. Her stool is fine and she urinates regularly. She has been on Lasix and also on two other meds. One pill and one is a liquid.(Sorry, I threw away one empty bottle and the label is off of the liquid). I have read about this, but there is so very little information. My vet says that it is rare and normally, once cleared up, never comes back. Even more rarely, it becomes a chronic problem. Any help at all will be wonderful!! We will switch diets and try anything. Thanks in advance. Dianna |

| Sorry i have not heard of that, but I pray your little one recovers quickly and it is the one time condition and not the chronic one.
