| NO! You would be much better off trying some of the better wet dog food mixed in for your little one.

| Little bits of hot dog every once in a while are not terrible, but I would never make it a daily thing. Buy some wet dog food to mix in with the dry food! If we eat chicken or turkey or some kind of meat for dinner, Jackson typically gets it mixed in with his dry food because he's spoiled! Haha but it's not an every day occurrence.

| Recently I read that hot dogs, bologna, and ham can give a dog pancreatitis. Don't remember where I read this.

My furkids Donating Member | Welcome to YT!! I wouldn't give my girls hot dogs...there's alot of junk in them (sorry all you hot dog eaters!!) I don't even eat hot dogs..You really don't want him to get used to table food...As one of the posters has said ...you don't want him to get pancreatitis...this is very painful for them and very costly for you. You really don't want a sick furbaby..

Donating YT 10K Club Member | No because hotdogs are indigestible and it's likely the reason he won't eat dog food...is because "people" food tastes better.

| No I wouldn't give hot dogs as part of his food. I do however use leftover hot dogs cut into small pieces for training treats and I think that's fine. Just not something you should use everyday. Just like us humans should only eat hot dogs occasionally. |

We have been on the natural balance roll for awhile. They've been good recently as I restrict their bully sticks and have cut back on treats. They get finicky every couple of weeks but then I hold my ground and then they eat again. I do mix something in with it...veggies/sometimes some meat. Good luck!

| Try the natural balance rolls--they might work for you and they are a good quality dog food. |

| Jackson currently eats Taste of the Wild and Innova dry food (I switch on and off) and at dinner time, I mix in wet food. I've used a bunch of different kind of wet foods, Dog Whisperer brand, Innova brand, and even though they're not really "good" for them, I do buy the "Mixables" from Petsmart and Petco and Jackson LOVES them.
