Yes you can. It just depends on the vet as to when they like to do it. Some want to prior to their first heat. Some would rather wait until after their first heat. If you are planning on doing it soon I would wait until after she is out of heat before I take her. Most vets charge an additional $50+ extra when they are in heat.

| Yitzee in her first heat too? Is it normal for droplets of blood to be found on the floor during heat? She's 7 months old and vet thinks it is her first heat. Someone help. |

| Spots on the floor are the way that I always know when my girls are in heat. Thank goodness for the ease of cleaning tile!

| My girl went into heat at 6 1/2 months (which i was told was early) I didn't want her to go into heat before i got her Spaied but mother nature took over. I tried to get her into the vet asap for an emergancy spay before she started bleeding (because i have heard it increases there chances of cancer by 50%???). But my vet wouldn't do it due to the major blood flow and swelling in that area, he said it would be to dangerous. So after her heat she went into false pregnancy and i had to wait a month after that until i could get her spaied. I had to pay almost an extra $100 for her spay cuz she went through heat. |

| I would like to ask if somebody know I have a girl Yorkie 8 month old who is having her heat now and male boy Yorkie 3 month and 1 week. He is trying to jump on female all the time, should I keep them separately or it’s O.K. for them to stay together because he is small? Thanks |
