| Three Dog Bakery Wet Food? For the last couple of months I was giving Mickey Three Dog Bakery wet food Walmart.com: Three Dog Bakery: Chicken, Carrots, Green Beans & Rice Recipe Entrees For Dogs, 12 oz: Dogs Here is the ingredients: Chicken, Carrots, Green Beans, Cooked Rice, Flax Seed, Corn Starch, Vitamin & Mineral Supplements: Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Niacinamide, Riboflavin, Potassium Iodine, Menadione Sodium Bisulfate Complex, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Beta Carotene, Ascorbic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D3 Supplement), Taurine. They also have one with Chicken, Broccoli, Carrots & Rice Recipe here are the ngredients: Chicken, Broccoli, Carrots, Cooked Rice, Flax Seed, Corn Starch, Vitamin & Mineral Supplements: Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Potassium Iodine, Menadione Sodium Bisulfate Complex, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Beta Carotene, Ascorbic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D3 Supplement), Taurine. My concern was of course 1. it is sold at walmart. 2. Mickey wasn't 100% thrilled and 2. the ingredients I don't understand. So who better to ask then you guys So for the last week or two I have been cooking for Mickey. I have been giving him white rice, carrots, green beans, peas, carrots, and canned cooked white chicken breast. However after doing about an hour of research right now I just realized that he may not be getting the right balance of vitamins ect... Mickey is a terrible eater and is over weight. He hardly touches his nuggets (feed him Evo Chicken). I have tried a variety of wet food such as iams (gave him bad gas and runs), evo wet food (he did not like because it was to grounded up for him), Innova (same as the evo to grounded up). I want whats best for Mickey as we all do. he is going to be 5 in November. What should I do?? He loves when I make him "real" food, but like I said I am afraid it isn't enough and the vet said he is about 5 or so pounds over weight. Thanks for your help, Mickey's Mommy

| You could try Merrick's canned foods. It's not like ordinary canned food that's all mushy and ground up. It's made with chicken broth and you can see the veggies and pieces of meat right in it! It smells really good to, looks almost like a stew that we would eat. The ingredients are really good, no corn, no by-products, etc. There's many different varieties to choose from as well. I used to mix Merrick's canned food in with Sasha's dry food and it worked wonders. She would gobble up her meals in no time. After awhile though, she began to get runny poos. Every dog reacts differently though, so this food might work for Mickey! If he does get softer poo, you could always try giving him some canned pumpkin (pure pumpkin, not the pie filling) and that helps with the runny poos. Good luck! |
