| I am so very very very scard...pancreatitis!! Sebastian has pancreatitis. They gave him fluids subQ about 2 hours ago now. And we came home with 3 bottles of meds. He was not right this morning, he had Diarrhea no vomiting that I know. Earlier this week he look like he wanted to vomit but nothing came out....I didn't know hwe was sick. Anyways.... He just doesn't want to do anything but lay in his bed. Is this normal for this type of illness. When will he perk up? Is he going to be OK? I started reading on here about pancreatitis and other places and this is scary dangerous stuff. I am in tears with fear!!!... I have been so busy the last two days I had not noticed if he ate cause I free feed. Oh God please *pray* he gets through this!!! This is painful stuff huh? He grunts if I dare rub his tummy. Anyways I'll let you all know something in a few days. I am sooooo glad I took him to the Dr. I don't want to lose my buddy! bye yall!

| mine had this too my recommendation is they have to be on fluids for 72hrs at a facility and no food or meds through mouth as it can be a problem as the vet did same for us and my boy relapsed and almost died. I would call an internal medicine specialist and discuss 24 hr care for 72hrs as any food or meds through mouth can be painful and upsetting to system - it is very painful as well so they need pain meds and why your baby is in pain when you touch the belly |

| I think if he is this sick, being on a IV at a veterinary hospital is a good idea. Not sure that giving anything by mouth is a good idea at all...not even water.

| Hello Everyone!!!! I took him out to potty a little bit ago...he jumped up onto the step. I was like huh? But that didn't last. He didn't do anything but pee that time. No diarrhea in the last oh I guess 4 hours. We do have emergency vets in the city and if he gets worse before in the morning I will take him in if not I am going to return to our reg vet in the morning. Right now he is still real tired. Thanks for all the advise and prayers!!! Oh and he does have pain meds, nausea meds and flagial (sp).

| Hello I am feeling more hopeful now...I did not find a specialist so I called my vet to voice my fears...by the way they are a hospital too. He asked me ??'s like look at his gums and I said they are pink...they were not yesterday. He sees this around the holidays a lot he said. Ham is one of the biggest reasons for pancreatitis, which I gave to all 3 a couple of different times this week cause I was very busy and did not see which ones had eaten. Anyways...Just know that my vet is a very smart vet. I trust him to do whats best. Thanks!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad you feel more hopeful, Yes ham s very bad for them. Cali has so many tummy problems that I decided that none of then would ever get people food again. Roxie and Pixie have never had it so they don't even beg or try to see what we are eating. Cali who did have chicken and hamburger when she was sick, begs for people food all the time. I hope your baby continues to improve and gets back to normal real soon.

| great news so you dodged a bullet like i did so no fatty foods and no treats - if you want to treat get organic chicken from costco and bake every 3 days a chicken breast and chop it up - and the one that had pancreatitis you can just give kibble is what i recommend for 6 mos as it is real easy to relapse right after the first bout |

| Baron was just diagnosed with Pancreatitis on Tuesday. He is on boiled chicken with white rice or white pasta. He was all hunched up and shreiking in pain when Rudy's Mom Dawn got us to the vets. Thank God for her help. He is on Gabapentin in a beef flavored liquid. 1ML every 8 hours. He goes back for Bloodwork re-check in 10 days. Then we go from there. He has me so worried!!!!
