YT 1000 Club Member | So frustrated and mad! Roxie was pretty clear for fleas and no itchies untill this week. I had been checking her daily and when I spotted one I applied Advantage. Now (this makes me so mad) her hair seems brittle and very dry. It's like it's breaking off. There are no more fleas but she's red on her skin from scratching from the stuff drying her, the bites or both. I hate these little parasites so much it angers me. Last week I was complaining she seemed so oily from the heat and humidity and this week she's all dried out. When will they come up with something as effective as Advantage without the harmful side effects? Last year I tried all of the natural things from vinegar to dawn dishwashing liquid. Of course those only kill the ones on her but not the ones that jump back onto her. Anyone have any ideas for her irritated skin and now crumbling hair? So much for growing her out, I'm going to call the groomer and get a puppy cut done now. Sorry if I sound really upset but I hate when anything is not right with her. I work so hard to keep her healthy and happy.

| I understand your frustrations.. it seems like a bad year for fleas. I (knock on wood) haven't had a problem so far. Hopefully someone can help you with the dry skin.
