| Natural Balance CHANGED their Potato & Duck formula...GRRR!!! I've been feeding my little girl, Daisy, Natural Balance's Potato & Duck for awhile now, and she's been loving it! But just when I thought we would stick to this brand/formula forever, they changed their formula! This is what they said about it on their site: We have recently improved our Potato & Duck Formula by adding more fresh duck and potato protein. This improvement enhances the performance of the product, but may lighten the kibble color. This change was made because we have found it increasingly difficult to obtain the quality and quantity of duck meal that our rigorous standards require, therefore we have elected to remove this ingredient. We have been feeding this formula for the last six months to many of our own Natural Balance pets and it has produced exceptional results. I honestly think they're trying to cut corners (and costs). The kibble is VERY pale, which makes me think that my baby Daisy isn't getting enough meat in there. I even tasted it myself (yes, I'm daring) and it tasted like ONLY potato!! Duck meal is what makes this formula great and tasty! Fresh duck meat is 80% water (from what I've read), so I think NB is definately cutting corners.... Daisy totally realized the difference...so I switched her to Wellness for Small Breeds, and she's doing well on that one. Anyone else notice or are bothered by the change in formula besides me? |

| Oh, that is not good. Because of Cocoa's SIBO that goes along with her EPI she is not supposed to have a kibble with a high carb. SIBO feeds on carb.

| Natural Balance changed Potato & Duck Formula I had the same problem with my two dogs. They refused to eat it and hated it. I found Breeder's Choice - Pinnacle Duck & Potato Formula.. they LOVE IT!!! THe color and texure seems to be similar to the old Natural Balance formula, but I think Pinnacle's Formula might be better its all organic. Try it! Pinnacle Holistic Duck & Potato Dry Formula |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | We just picked up a bag of small bites which is the new formula My boys LOVED it & went nut's for it. I can't change due to allergies. i'm glad my guy's like it. I'm sticking with Natural balance I don't think they would do anything to cut corners. Duck is also light in color So if they added more of that it would make it lighter. |

| Yep, my little EPI Yorkie won't digest the NB Duck and Potato. Many other EPI dogs are having a very negative reaction to it. It's great if your doggie can tolerate the change. They changed the duck meal to real duck and increased the carbs to equal out the protein content.
