| well, i have a 12 pounder and a 3 pounder. i was walking them the other day and someone made a comment about their difference in size. the person asked if they were both fixed. i told her my 12 pounder was fixed, but not the little one. she said that explains why my yorkie is so big. she said that once you get them fixed, their hormones act up and they go through a huge growth spurt. i know it sounds silly, but that's exactly what happend to my big guy. he was 3 pounds at 3 months, then shot up to 6 pounds after he was fixed, then went up to 10 and now at 1 year old he's 12. i don't know...i was just wondering if there was any truth to this statement.

| I've had dogs for years, all spayed all different breeds and none of them tripled in size after their spay, yes they grew but if a dog is being spayed around 6 months old they aren't done growing yet whether they are spayed or not.

| My Pebbles is 4lbs and was spayed at 4mo or so. She is now over a year old. That is not true at all. It's funny I wonder where all these "experts" you meet on the street get their information.
