| How long should toe nails be? I have been cutting Tippy's toe nails every few days but I need to know when they are short enough. They are still about 3/8" to the cuticle. I don't know when to stop trimming. |

| Its so hard when thier nails are dark. You dont want to cut too short and cause them to bleed. I just barely cut the tips off of my dogs. My chiahuahua has some "transparent" nails(or whatever you want to call it) so I use those nails as my guide for the rest of them. But for my yorkie I just cut a little off every 2 weeks. She is a pain becuase she squirms so much. Its like pulling teeth trying to clip her nails!
