| 4th of July Any suggestions for a Yorkie that is afraid of the fireworks noise? I have read about the t-shirt, storm, static electricity problem. Does anyone think the t-shirt will work? Not looking forward to this weekend. Last year we went for a drive out in the country where it was quieter. Suggestions. |

| Layla hates HATES fireworks- and the vest only works for storms. We just ignored her. Animals (in nature) don't know "fear" as we do- so their fear reaction is because we give a positive reinforcement to their actions. We used to caudle Layla when she was upset- now we just ignore her through fire works and storms and she is doing MUCH better- just let him be and go on as if nothing is wrong. |

| There was a suggestion on another thread to use a "soothing sound" CD. It may help....... and Marci is right, don't react to the noise yourself.... your dog will sense your reaction.
