| Yorkie THrowing Up My puppy chewy is now 7 months old. This morning he woke up with diarrhea, and since then has thrown up multiple times. The only thing that was done differently is that he went to the beach yesterday and licked the sand a few times. Could this be happening b.c of eating sand? help what do i do? rush to vet or just let him clear out his stomach ? |

| I wouldn't rush to the vet or just let it go. As Marci asked, are his gums pink? How much does he weigh? Did he get any foods yesterday that he doesn't normally eat? Unless he ate a large amount of sand, I would wonder about what germs were present and if he found something else to eat... Depending on his age, gum color and ability to hold fluids down, you may be able to wait awhile. If he has thrown up more than 2-3 times, it is best to go ahead with the vet or if he can't hold liquid down, etc.

| TAKE HIM TO THE VET ASAP... my Gizmo was also throwing up yesterday night till it came out yellowish. i feed him rice and chicken but he also threw that up..today i took him to the vet and they took some xrays and it turns out that either he ate something he wasn't suppose to or he might parasites.. i had to leave him over night because he was also dehydrated and they needed to put an IV in him.. i feel sooo sad...ive already called twice to check on him ...so take ur baby to the vet..

| Hope you are already on your way to the vet, this can be very hard on the little ones' systems. If you don't go now, you could end up having to go to an emergecy vet later tonight, which will be an enormous bill. Do it for your baby and for your wallet! |
