| double rows of teeth my yorkie is about 6 months old and hes growing two rows of teeth on the top and bottom. i plan on having these removed when i take him to get neutered at 7 months. i was wondering if that's too late to get them removed. what's the longest i can leave the baby teeth in before they become a problem? i picked 7 months of age because i'm hoping he'll put on more weight by then. he's currently 3 pounds.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hi, my Lulu is also 6 months, and has some of her mature teeth growing right along her milk teeth. I asked the vet what to do about it, and he said to wait about 3 more months and see if she lost her milk teeth by then. So far, I noticed that she lost some of the "double row teeth" this week. I'm hoping that by 9 months she'd loose all of her milk teeth on her own.

| I just talked to my vet about this the other day...Apple is almost 8 months old, and I wasn't planning on having her spayed, until she was 18 months old...However, he said for me not to worry about her double rows of teeth, until she was a year old...Sooooooo, if all 8 are still there @ a year old, I may spay her earlier than I'd planned, so she doesn't have to do the anesthetic twice....Hopefully, the baby teeth will fall out in the next 4 months.... |
