| The 7 in 1 has the lepto in it and I do not recommend that for yorkie pups, especially as young as yours is. |

| does this mean he already had the vaccine? if so how he is doing with the 7 in 1? what was it the 7 in 1 besides the lepto? I have heard that the lepto is or can be very dangerous for yorkies to recieve. I hope your baby is ok.

a 7 in 1 vaccine shouldn't be given to a puppy so small. It probably had lepto and corona in it which aren't needed in small dogs and can actually cause more side effects. Your puppy was very young when he got his first vaccine so he's going to need to get a fourth vaccine in 3-4 weeks. puppy boosters are usually given 3-4 weeks apart so his vaccine today was not a week late. it was just fine. Usually the vaccine schedule is 8, 12, and 16 weeks, though some people think 8 weeks is too young now and like to do it at 9 or 10 weeks. Since yours got them his second vaccine at the time he was suppose to be getting his first i would make sure he gets a fourth in a few weeks. and make sure its only a 5 in 1. also make sure they don't give him his rabies that day. Only one vaccine per day, unless you want to get the bordatella vaccine done in intra-nasal form (this usually has no side effects).

| I am glad you did not give him the 7 in 1. It will be fine giving him a vaccination now. He still will not be fully protected so I would give him another 5 in 1 in 4 more weeks. |

| sigh i am planning out giving him another , but the breeder had told me that it wouldnt be necessary to do that since he is about to be vaccinated his third time? if so i think it was wrong that she sold him to me at six weeks just giving him his shot the day i got him? |
