| What is considered the most tasty Dog Food? I need a dog food that my do will actually eat and was wondering if anybody knew of a dog that my get me close to the people food that my yorkie has been eating. I have tried all the prescription diet natural balance stuff from the vet and he will not touch it. Something that is also considered healthy. I was looking at Verus. |

| I need a dog food that my dog will actually eat and was wondering if anybody knew of a dog food that i can use to ween my yorkie off of people food and on to dog food. I have tried all the prescription diet natural balance stuff from the vet and he will not touch it. Something that is also considered healthy. I was looking at Verus. But really i am completely clueless and would rather have some insight before shooting in the dark with my wallet. The dog is a yorkie and was not mine for the first two years of his life. He was fed people food by my sister and it has proven very difficult to get him off of it. So i thought if i could find the most healthy TASTY food out there, that might do the trick. Remember he is a Yorkie. And if you recommend a wet food i would prefer that it not be the smashed all together into one muck stuff that you find in most can food. |

| Merrick makes some canned diets that have a bit more "character" to them than regular dog food-- they might be something that you could try as a transition. It's a very healthy brand too.

| Have you tried pre-made raw, such as Nature's Variety or Primal? They are balanced diets that most dogs love!!!

| Merrick wet food....just like a stew....my furbaby loves it and my friends dogs are all on it too. I give it to her only as a treat once a week or when she hasnt eaten all day. You can see the meat chunks and vegetables....sooo good! It also does not smell as bad as other wet foods. Warm it up for a few seconds and they will eat it up! She is on Innova dry food, which is very good and she enjoys eating it. |

| I agree with everyone else. The NV raw is an option or Merrick's canned food. I just gave my baby a bit of the canned with her dry food the other day and she loved it! Like JINANYC posted, it looks like stew. It isn't all mushy like most canned foods are and actually smells pretty good. You can see the chunks of meat & veggies in there to! Plus, they offer all different kinds of flavors for variety! |
