| Blind Kitten I didn't know where to put this or if I am even allowed to put it at all but I don't know a better and more caring group of people as you all here. I was looking through Craig's list just now and came accross this. Blind Kitten needs DEDICATED caregiver. I would be willing to help in transportation or picking up and making arrangements or whatever is needed if anyone is interested in helping this poor baby. I would take it myself but right now and struggling to make sure I have vet money as it is. There was a thread on here recently about a blind cat I think so I am praying that someone here will fall for this baby!

| Uh oh! I just realized this should have gone into off topic. Can a MOD move it for me?

| So it sounds like this guy is diagnosing the cat himself. I wonder if he has bothered to take it to the vet yet? I also wonder if the gunk is just part of a cold or infection that can't be fixed with medication...either way, so sad for the little baby. I love cats!

| I am faily sure that the add just got put on tonight and in it he says they found him tonight so safe to say he has not seen a vet. I just sent him an email asking a bunch of questions so hopefully he can give some better info. I asked more about the condition and if he had taken it to a vet even though I am pretty sure he hasn't. He says to contact him ASAP which leads me to believe that if someone doesn't take him pretty quickly that he will take him to the shelter and he will be put to sleep. I really am not the cat person at all but the person I am is the one who can not stand the thought of a helpless creature suffering or being put down without being given a chance. I will let you know what his responce is when I get it. I am praying thathe will take him to the vet but my guess is that since tomorrow is Sat that it won't happen at least until Monday.

| So sad. I hope someone can help. My DH and I dropped off canned dog food left after my Boris died last October to our shelter today. I couldn't even bare to go through and look at the dogs. I cried as we left remembering him and tried not to let my DH see. I hope the kitty doesn't have to go there. |

| I am sorry about the loss of your baby. I know how you feel about those places. I found a starved Pitt one night. It being night I had no choice but to bring him home. I have a large crate that I keep just for stray dogs I bring home as I won't put my little ones in danger with a strange dog but also not willing to leave them stranded. We had him for 3 days while I searched and searched for a no kill shelter because no matter what I was not taking him to a kill shelter. I finally found one a couple of towns over and drove him there. My daughter and I went in and looked around because I wanted to see where I would be leaving him and after grilling the woman there about thier policies, we reluctantly left him...with me in absolute tears. The place was dismal and looked like a doggy "jail. It just broke my heart to leave him. I was at least secure in the fact that they don't put them down and I called every day until he found a home. I am not a pitt fan but he was sweet and I felt terrible taking him even there. I am also not a cat person but can not stand the thought of him going to a kill shelter and not getting a chance at life. No word yet, guess he is not a night owl like me! LOL

| I haven't heard back from yet this morning. He said ASAP like he was in a hurry to get rid of him so I would think I would have heard something. Maybe he already found someone, or he fell in love himself.

| He did email me back the other day and told me that his mother in law wanted to keep the cat. She is home all the time so looks like he found a good home.
