| Oh, you need a urine sample? Let me work on that Vet said we needed to take in a urine sample from Ziggy on our next vet visit. (It sounded pretty routine. He hasn't gotten his rabies shot yet) One question: HOW?!!!! I would appreciate any tips/info you can give me. If you want to stop by and make fun of me because I've gotten my hand soaked with pee twice today, then that's ok too.

| Maybe next time he goes to pee, put a plastic bag or something over the pee pad so it doesn't soak in then pour it into a container or something? This doesn't sound like it's going to be fun.

| LOL I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but I just picture myself trying to do that. With my pup, when she squats to pee, she does it for all she's worth. I used to pick her up when I was potty training her to make her stop going, but she would just keep on with the flow. I'd freak out and run around the house, not knowing where to go and by the time she was done, the carpet would have this nice little pee line wherever I ran. Have you tried just picking your pup up and aiming her pee at a cup? Or does she stop going when you pick her up? Is my dog just weird or something?

| hi. and welcome.. None of us would be laughing at you but with you because, we've all been there done that!! The easiest way to catch uring is use a Soup ladel... just buy a cheap one u can toss or just wash yours out with bleach and hot water real well. I personally have a plastic one that is just for "pepee cathchin". wait until the flow starts and he is relaxed with a flow going. put the ladel under it and there u go. they only need a small amount mabe an ounce or too. It needs to be refridgerated utill you get it to the vet the same day or next am. The vet prob. just wants to be sure there is no bacteria, sugar etc in the urine. If You don't catch it, the vet will catherize him and it will cost you moiney and your furbaby Pain.. You might want to save a water bottle or a jar that can be thrown away. with a female it's real easy just put it under her and there she goes~.... Good luck, hope it all comes out like it should....tehee....oh I meant pepee....

| Soup ladel? I will try that. I've just been taking a little cup and holding it under him. Then he'll stop and give me this "What the hell?" look and I get embarrassed and a little ashamed actually.

| I just don't think it's realistic for me to have skin kids. Could you imagine? Oh, the horror.

| Is your furbaby pee pad trained? I turned one upside down (plastic on top) and when he peed on it, I picked it up and folded and poured it into a cup. Okay...now it sounds too complicated...nevermind! lol

| Did the vet ask you to bring one in or did they say they'd take it? I hold a measuring cup under Ellie to get urine but lately I've just decided not to try any of it and the vet's office just takes it by cystocentesis. Easy on all of us and bacteria free...
