| Eye Gunk Whats the best way to clean the eye gunk that they get in their eyes.. I know that if its left, the hair can rot, and thats not good..but when I give him a bath, I try not to get his face wet.. He's already miserable during the bath.. Any suggestions, or anything along those lines! |

| I am horrible about wiping the tears everyday. In the end you need to get his face wet to get the crusties.. It grosses me out! I am always begging my DH to pick them out... gross!

| I pick out the dried eye stuff with my *clean* fingers. As far as the wet gunk that is inside the corner of the eye, I gently use a Q-tip. I've found it attracts the wet gunk like a magnet and my pup sits still for me to finish. It seems she hates that stuff as much as I do! |

| I wash my girl's faces with a warm wash cloth and then gently comb through the face with a tiny comb that I have just for their facial area and beard. I usually do this at least once a day to keep their faces clean. |

| I do the same as AddieLove, using a q-tip for the wet eye boogies. For the dry gunk I'll either pull it off during a bath, or just use my fingers or a baby wipe when it's dry. Sometimes I'll try to comb it out but I can never get it all out that way. |

| Hey Rebecca... I just noticed you're from Roseville! That's where I grew up, and my family still lives there. I went to Roseville High School. |

| I got some baby washclothes (they are small and soft) and just wet them with warm water and wipe their face. Then follow up with a small tooth comb if needed. Boo gets especially bad eye gunk if we don't stay on top of it.

| I moisten a cotton ball with warm water and then wipe down from the corner of his eye, slowly and repeatedly until they come off. He is not a fan of his whole head getting wet.. so this has become my solution and he tolerates it pretty well. We usually take a little break between eyes |

YT 1000 Club Member | I hadn't heard that it rots the hair. Is that true? It really is yucky stuff and even though they hate having their eyes picked at they seem to feel so much better when it's gone!
