| Other than having unwanted pups is there any other reason for getting him neutered ???? I'm not planning on breeding him but I don't mind him not being neutered. Are there any good reasons other that could be important to get him neutered. |

| 1.) Cancer. Unaltered male dogs can develop testicular cancer and prostate cancer. 2.) Male hormones can cause marking behaviors, roaming, and aggression in some dogs. Neutering a pup can curb the development of those problems.

| Yes, many good reasons to neuter him. If you don't, he will be more likely to run away and find a female in heat. They can smell that from a million miles away. Therefore, you run the risk of unwanted pregnancies AND running away constantly. Even if you say you are going to watch him 24/7... there's that risk of him getting a female pregnant. Might as well not chance it. It's better for his health and reduces the risk of testicular cancer by 100%. It usually makes for a calmer pet. Most of all, if neutered soon enough, can stop marking/lifting leg habits completely whereas an unneutered male can be trained not to mark, it's a lot more difficult.
