| Changing foods I brought Kiara home last Sat the breeder was feeding her Chicken soup. I have been trying to get her to eat it. mostly hand feeding. she has eaten between 15 to 20 pieces 3 times a day for 2 days plus free feed then yesterday morning I got her to eat only 10 pieces and at lunch she turned her nose up to it. I had planned on switching her to raw like my other dog so I went and got her NV Raw and gave her a half a medallion at dinner and she devoward it so I gave her the other have with some of her kibble in it she ate all the raw and left all the kibble. I also planned on switching her to Instinct kibble so I mixed the two in her free feed bowl and the little pooper has eaten out the instinct and left the Chicken soup. should I just not worry about giving her anymore of the chicken soup and just give her the Natures Variety. TIA |

| I've always heard that you need to swith foods gradually, but when I brought Colby Tate home a couple of months ago I had no idea what the breeder had been feeding (guess I could've asked, huh ). I started him right off on NV's raw medallions and Instinct & he had no problems at all. If your baby is picking food out around the Chicken Soup I think you'd be find going directly to the NV. Good luck, and congrat on your new puppy!

| I agree with Bonny and actually many of us have experienced this when switching foods. It seems these little guys just don't want their old food when it comes to switching. BTW-excellent diet choice!!! I feed NV raw w/ Evo kibble.

| I'm currently thinking the same way as well. Sasha has been eating the NV raw for about 3 weeks now and is doing wonderful. I was giving her Blue Buffalo kibble but planned on switching her to NV Prairie kibble. I just started mixing it in with the Blue Buffalo 2 days ago and both days, shes only eating the NV and left the BB. Yesterday morning, she actually threw up bile because she had only eaten the NV kibbles and there weren't that many in the bowl to begin with, so last night, I put quite a few more of the NV in and of course she ate all of them and still left the BB pieces. Shes been fine today. I'm thinking I'm just going to give her all NV kibble for dinner tonight and not even bother with the BB. What little stinkers our babies are! |

| All 5 of our dogs, including our 4 month old Yorkie puppy, are eating Nature's Variety Prairie chicken and brown rice formula and are doing great on it. |

| I recently started Mimi on NV raw organic chicken medallions. She loves it. However, I also had a question, i am hearing that high protein is not good for yorkies. Should I be concerned on feeding raw/
