| Carter's big day tomorrow This week is full of all kinds of things for Carter and I. Tomorrow, Carter (7 months) will be neutered, micro-chipped and have at least two teeth removed. He should be back home tomorrow around 4 PM if all goes well. From what everyone has been posting here in the forum, even though there are concerns, everything hopefully will be okay. Friday, we'll have our first private obedience lesson. Hopefully Carter will be his ol' self again and we won't have to postpone our first session. Tomorrow will be a long day. I don't know how those of you who have had to leave their babies at the vet's office overnight survive!

| Oh Carter - you precious thing....Schatzie sends puppy hugs and to say that she will be right behind you getting spayed and microchiped too. But first she is still recovering from her first surgery. Carter's Mommy - please keep us posted on how little Carter is doing, and he will probably be up and ready for those classes

| Carter is going to be one busy baby this week!! I hope everything goes well - I'll be thinking of you both! We have a great trainer here and it really helps to go to the classes. I can't wait to get Tia started! Keep us posted after his big surgery!

| I'll definitely check in tomorrow to update his progress! I guess I'll have to keep myself extra busy so that I'm not walking around looking to see where he is all day long. He is in my thoughts every moment of the day.

| Yeah, it's soooooo quiet when we leave Yoda at the groomer's or at the vet for anything. We're so used to him and his presence at our home. We wish Carter well in his busy week! |

I know I will be getting another one. It's just I know exactly what I am looking for and it will probably take me years to find her and at times I think I probably am too picky over my next one. It's just Im not like real young so I look at it as if I am blessed I will have Schatzie and my next Yorkie in waiting for atleast 14-15 years. So with that in mind, if I wait until another decade to get one I might just not physically be able to care for one as i can let's say as I do now. ( And I know all you Yorkie owners know what I mean by how much attention they need, CONSTANT) So, anyway now that I am off track with my post. I just wanted to say i understand completely how you feel towards Carter and the worries you have over him with surgery tomorrow. Surgery is serious business!! Even though it is so routine, it never changes the fact how serious it is... So, cuddle Carter extra long tonight and tomorrow maybe go out and get him something new, that will put a smile on your face, and take up some time while he is in surgery.

| Well . . . Carter is back at home and did well for his procedures. They neutered without stitches, extracted his four canine teeth, cleaned all his teeth (for no charge - he had a small amount of tartar on his two back teeth that I had been working on), and micro-chipped him. He's fully awake and not groggy. They gave me anti-inflammatory and pain meds to administer for the next 4 days. At this point, I'm really pleased with his outcome and the performance of my vet and her team! Forgot to add that he weighed in at 3.1# this morning (32 weeks). We first got him when he was 25 weeks old and weighed 2.2#. At 29 weeks, he weighed 2.6#.

| Terrific news !! It is such a comfort to know that there are such skilled and caring veterinarians out there. (Carter you are blessed to have them) I am glad you can relax now knowing he is great condition and home with you. Thanks for giving us the update on Little Carter. Looks like he wont have any problems for his upcoming training class.

| He's kinda been wandering around the house aimlessly . . . almost nervous. I'm sure his drugs are beginning to really wear off. He's still not complaining though!

| Carter woke up this morning and is pretty much back to normal. He ate his medication without having to put it in cheese. He's a great pup! He hasn't been walking around aimlessly and is ready to play! He found his favorite toy and was ready for his normal routine of playing fetch down the hall. He didn't seem to mind that I only tossed it about 2 or 3 feet instead.

| Yay, good to hear Carter recovering so fast! Took Yoda a few days to bounce back to normal as well, we just had to reassure him that he's still a big stud and that the surgery was good for him! |
