| Does anyone have any advise on what to use for flea and tick prevention? My puppy weighs 3 lbs. The vet wants to use a pill or frontline. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks! I don't want to use anything that can harm him. |

| I use Frontline every year, and I think a lot of people on YT use Frontline as well.

| Frontine or Advantage are safest for the little ones. Since your guy is so tiny, you might want to try Frontline spray. You can customize the dose by weight. http://www.entirelypets.com/info.html |

| Fleas Just a suggestion...lol...but if you have ever used our shampoo its a 4 in 1 that has a natural insect repellant in it. It gives you everything you need in 1. Alot of people use it for biting insects and the least amount of stuff your putting on your baby the better. PM me if your interested. Have a great day and good luck. Tim MinkSheen 4 in 1 |

| We don't use anything unless we actually see fleas on Ellie, then it is Frontline or I would use Advantage also.

| hello It will continue to repel as long as the scent is there. This is where the diluting or not comes into. If you would like more scent then dont dilute as much and it will repel the biting insects longer. You can PM me if you have any other questions. If you decide to order a botlle tell them with customer service a code of TW. Have a great day everyone. Tim |

| i don't use frontline or k9 advantix after hearing stories about dogs have sezuires and almost dying. i would reccomend using this stuff All-Natural Flea Control and Tick Remedy. Official TripleSure Site Dog Flea Cat its all natural flea and tick control spray! http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.co...scratching.jpgHealth Hazards from Chemical Flea and Tick Products Each year, Americans purchase and apply to their pets a vast array of toxic chemicals intended to kill fleas and ticks. These include collars, sprays, dusts and more. Other pet owners take their pets to veterinarians to be dipped in chemicals. Many consumers probably assume that the products they and their vets use have been subjected to rigorous testing, and must, by virtue of their very ubiquity, be safe. After all, how could the government http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/fleasafe2.jpglet deadly poisons be sold on grocery store shelves without applying stringent standards? Spot-On Pesticides such as Frontline, Zodiac, Defend, Bio Spot, Adams and Advantage trigger adverse reactions in dogs and cats, shorten life spans, cause terminal illness, and premature death. . The active ingredients in these solutions include chemicals such as imidacloprid, fipronil, permethrin, methoprene, and pyriproxyfen, all of which have caused serious health problems in animals in laboratories.2 Even some of the inert ingredients can be hazardous to your animal companion’s health. Other forms of flea control—powders, collars, and sprays—are no less dangerous to you or your companion animals. Labels may warn not to get these substances on your skin, to wash your hands after applying it, and to keep it away from children, yet these chemicals are absorbed by your animal’s skin. Immediate effects of pesticide overdose include vomiting, diarrhea, trembling, seizures, and respiratory problems. If your dog or cat shows any of these symptoms after the application of a pesticide, immediately wash the product off and seek veterinary care. |

| My Vet gives me Frontline Plus. However, Sophie's a big girl....10 lbs. I'm not sure what to say regarding weight. Even at 10 lbs I was concerned because the dosage was for up to 20 lbs. (or 24 lbs..not sure I don't have the package in front of me). Either way I started it when she was 6.5 lbs. She's had several doses now with no troubles. |

YT Addict | Emmett is 8 lbs. I use a half an application of frontline on him. Frontline is the only thing that has ever worked for me. I have tried natural stuff, it doesn't work for me. I have tried Advantix, it doesn't work for me. I have tried the pill, it really didn't work and I think it irritated Emmett's skin.

| I looove the scent of Minksheen, I tried it because I did not want to use advantage oooor anything else. I treated my back yard, I only walked them in my treated backyard... left the minksheen on for 3 minutes as it indicates, did not dilute, ... I blow dried as usual... within 2 days, FLEAS. You have no idea how sad this made me. I really wanted a natural product that works.... Minksheen helps for a day or so. I still use it because I love the smell, I purchased advantage but have not applied yet, I am scared as heck to put this on my furbabies but it makes me just as sad to see them scratching and bitten .

| flea & tick I have used Vectra - it works on my older dog, but on my puppy, it does not. I have applied it twice in a month and he is still ate up. I don't know if he has to get it really in his system, but I don't know what to do. I guess I'll try Advantage on him and see if that works. I bought a product called Nature's Garden by Sergeant's. Has anyone used that and did it work? |
