| Crystals in Urine My sweet 9 yr. old, JaJa, has triple phosphate crystals in her urine. We've been treating her with 100mg Vit C 2x/day - but yesterday's urine test showed more crystals so we're upping it to 150mg Vit. C 2x/day and then another urine test in 2 weeks. Vet said that if the extra Vit. c doesn't work she'll have to be on a prescrip. med. JaJa's been on prednisone for 2 yrs. for another condition... Any experience/help would be greatly appreciated. |

| My vet has told me that my 1 1/2 yr old has crystals in her urine and wants me to buy dog food from them. Is that really going to help or do they just want more money? Also does anyone have a dog that leaks urine ? My vet put her on Proin, and he said IF this works she'll have to be on it for the rest of her life. I just hate the thought of having to give her this medication, so many side effects... http://www.dogforums.com/images/smilies/confused.gif |
