| Weird Snorting Sound Do any of your Yorkies sometimes make this weird snorting sound that sounds like you're choking? It's like as if they're sucking in something, but choking at the same time. I know my Bella isn't choking, but does anyone know what else this could be? Thanks! |

| The way you're describing it sounds like your little furbaby is having a reverse sneeze. Here's a link with some info about reverse sneezing and it also has 2 video clips - Reverse Sneezing in Dogs

| Is the sound a wanking noise? Short snout dogs commonly have problems with a collapsing trachea. If it becomes frequent &/or the breathing is noticably worse I would consult a vet. My Jazmine had a problem last August & is now on medication. |

| Might be just Max but I noticed when I stopped feeding him EVO Turkey and Chicken, the "reverse sneezing & coughing sound" went away. I don't know. Maybe an allergy season ended to or something but... When I brought him home as a puppy he ate EVO until about 9 months old. When I changed to Wellness Small Breed the sound stopped.
