| Cut on nose? I posted a thread a few weeks ago or so when a Black lab bit Jackson... Well, he's got a cut on his nose now where it's not black anymore. It scabbed up but once the scab fell off, it's not black on that part of his nose anymore. Is it ever going to go back or does it stay like that? I had put some ointment on it afterwards that was for cuts and wounds from the vet for my dad's dog and it helped it a bit. But I'm so upset because I loveddd his little nose, that was my favorite thing ever, and now he's got this "cut" on it that's not black anymore. Will it ever go back or is he now permanatly scarred? Hard to see in the pic, and it's not highly highly noticeable but it still upsets me that it happened.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | aww, look at that little nose. unfortunately its probably permanently scarred now. since its on his nose there really isn't anything you can put on it that he can't lick off and you don't want him ingesting scar ointments. don't worry tho, after a while you won't even notice it anymore. it will fade

Aww, poor Jackson. I feel so guilty that it happened. Not that he cares about what his nose looks like, but aww.

| Please give Jackson some extra loving. You might try rubbing some emu oil on the wound to help keep scaring tissue down. I have had great success with a serious injury to my quarter horse stallion, to minor cuts on my fubutts and on own leg to help scaring after my 4-wheeler accident. I actually use a product called Herbal Wound Spray from Laid In Monana ( Buy emu oil online - All natural products from Montana ). It is a great product and even though it is for "animnal use" I use it on all minor cuts and scraps for everyone in the family - human and fur alike. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Cali has scratched her nose with her allergies and the scab falls off and after awhile the color returned. Hers was on the side of her nose so I don't know if that made a difference. Jackson's nose will make him unique!!
