Yorkie ears??? I have a question about Luigi's ears. When we brought him home, both of his ears were down. Our breeder said that they should stand up. At that time I didn't think anything of it. Then one ear stood up literally overnite. The other ear is still floppy and its been a good month now. I looked again at his papers and the breeder had written on them that there are no guarentees that the ears will stand up. So I wonder then if there is something wrong with the left ear that won't stand up. My hubbie now calls him One eared Willie!!! Poor Luigi!!!

Have you tried taping or shaving his ears? See: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ight=tape+ears

Both my boys ears flop. I tried everything to get them to stand, but no dice. Bengie's ears stand up part way and will really stand up if he is really interested in something, but Garretts would not stand if his life depended on it, does not matter, love them both. Garrett would be really much cuter if his ears stood up, but oh well. I tell my kids (all grownups) that I think I will put a wire in his ear just like a stuffed bunny, flop-eared, standing up, they are my boys.

You can try to give him supplements for the cartilage (check with a vet first). Mojo had a problem when he had a ear infection, from scratching the ear, it kinda of droped...so i gave him gelatin (in capsules), i know poeple who also gave shark's cartilage(also in capsule) Also i would recomend taping the ears...maybe all he needs is a little help Did you meet his parents?
