| Mixing foods and rotation So Many questions......... How do you feed in a rotation? How often do you change the foods? Can you use foods from the same company? What happens when you mix foods from different companies? Can you mix more than two foods? How do you integrate wet or raw food into a kibble diet. I am interested in giving her some wet food sometimes throughout the week |

| I feed Nature's Variety raw medallions for breakfast and free feed NV's Instinct kibble during the day. I think if you were only going to feed it a few times a week, you can just start feeding it with no introduction period. I would introduce it slowly if you intend for it to become a regular part of the diet. I rotate between the proteins Instinct has about every 4 to 6 weeks. I introduce the new kibble slowly and mix it in with the one they've been eating to avoid upset tummies. I may not need to do this since they're the same brand but I'd rather not take a chance. It's perfectly fine to rotate between foods of the same brand. The purpose is to rotate protein sources to offer a variety in the diet and to help prevent possible food allergies from developing. Good luck!

| I buy Jackson both Before Grain and Wellness. I usually mix them together every day. Every morning for breakfast, he gets Wellness wet food mixed in with the dry.
