| Bully sticks? How often do you give your dog bully sticks? And do you subtract any food to account for the bully stick?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Mine may get them once a month...and no they don't receive less regular food those times. Other treats are limited to one a day...

| Yeah, i give her freeze dried liver treats once a day. She loves them. But the bully sticks she is nuts for. Once she gets it she will not let up until it's so small I have to take it away. And believe me it's a chore getting it away from her. She acts like I have crushed her world!!!

| Did she sniff at it at all? Maybe she just needs to figure out what it is.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | They had two one was dark and solid the other a lighter color and braided. They said the braided one wasn't so dense, so I got that one since she likes softer stuff. She sniffed both but showed more intrest in the braided one, I gave it to her when we got home and she sniffed it again and it's just laid there ever since.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey always has one available, I use the Merrick brand and they are very hard so they take about a week to chew; he gets very little each day from it, so I don't decrease his food any. Some sticks are much softer, and they eat them rather than chew them, so you probably shouldn't give too often, as that would increase the calorie count. I think the harder sticks help with keeping the teeth clean, and the gums healthy, so I use them more as a teeth-cleaning devise, than a "treat."

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I will try soaking this one and see what happens. If I can get her to chew it maybe I could try the harder one next time, I don't want to have her teeth cleaned.

| Jackson will usually get them once a week. I need to buy in bulk for the future but for right now, I've just been ordering from AMD or buying from Petco, etc. The "Red Barn" brand from Petco usually lasts Jackson the longest and he likes those the best.

YT 2000 Club Member | I don't use bully sticks, I use the dental sticks instead and my girls love them. They are good for keeping their teeth clean and keeps their breath fresh smelling.
