My furkids Donating Member | comparision chart Morning Everyone....Over a year ago, someone had posted a dog food comparison chart...I can not find it. I am thinking of changing the girls from Canidae canned to Wellness canned. I have noticed a change in the consistency of the Canidae and Lillie got sick yesterday after eating it...vomited until everything was out of her little belly. Wellness brand is made not to far from where I live. I know it is all natural and probably better for the girls than Canidae..I just HATE changing their diet..especially when I found something they BOTH like. If any of you have any input or know where I can find this chart please let me know...I would greatly appreciate it Thank you in advance Brenda, Sadie and Lillie

| Here is a link to the Dog Foo Review: Dog Food Reviews - Main Index - Powered by ReviewPost We have had no problem with the Canidae. I use the dry for the most part but always have a case of canned on hand too. I was giving the adult dogs one meal a day of the canned and then dry out for any time. But one stubborn little dog decided to hold out for the canned and was not eating the dry. So, I have backed off a little and make it every other day or so. The puppies are even eating a little of it each day as a treat. No problems with any of them. I think both Wellness and Canidae are good quality foods.

My furkids Donating Member | Thank you! that is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I really liked the Canidae canned and kibble. I was mixing Merrick and Canidae (dry) for a little variety and, about 2 heaping tbsp of the canidae canned. I have noticed that the consistency of the canned has changed. It is so moist it's kind of sticky...even after being in the fridge. I thought maybe it was just that one can so I threw it away and opened another one. This one was the same way. Poor little Lillie got so sick. She threw up everything she ate. And....it was just the wet food...no kibble. Makes me think it's not good for her anymore. And....someone on here told me that Canidae is Manufactured at the Diamond Company. Wellness is made right here in Mass...I was feeding Sadie (first yorkie) the wellness kibble when I first got her. The kibble was a little to big for her...My girls are fussy when it comes to the size of the kibble...that is why I changed. I am going to continue with the Merrick kibble but, I think I will bring the unused cans of Canidae back to the store and exchange for wellness...Made me a little nervous yesterday when Lillie kept throwing up... Thank you again for posting this...I bookmarked the page Brenda

| Both of my babies have been on Wellness since I brought them home. They are both very healthy and prefer Wellness to Canidae, I brought home a sample once and they showed no interest. Try the small dog formula they just came out with, the pieces are so small it looks like cat food. Mine are used to eating the larger pieces but really seem to have adapted well to the smaller size. It's in a hot pink bag and I think its called Small Breed Formula. Its supposed to be better for small dogs sensitive digestive system. The price is pretty reasonable considering the high quality of the food.
