| reactions will usually happen within an hour of the vaccine. Your dog might develop a fever- start panting- you can feel his tummy/ears to see if he is hot- he might become thethargic- having no energy- looking kinda dazed... start shaking- his gums might become white- these are ALL signs he needs to go BACK to the vet ASAP you might notice a few days after a bump developing where they gave him the shot- this is normal. Layla's vet says to put a warm compress on but it can take months to fully go away. |

| Bella tends to swell quite a bit at the injection site. I ice it at the vet as soon as they give her the shot, then again about 2 hours later, and again before we go to bed. She doesn't mess with it, but if you pet her there she will kind of flinch. Other than that, she has been fine with her shots, thankfully!

| Jackson had a reaction to the lepto vaccine during his second round of shots where he got DHLPP. About ten minutes after we got home, he got a little shaky and starting vomiting. Once there was nothing left to throw up, he was dry heaving. Then he couldn't even walk properly, his back legs sort of gave out! I felt so bad for him - never again.

| vaccination question My poor pups suffered! Stupid vet technician didn't tell me about making sure that the rabies doesn't go in combination with the DHLPP. So he injected them with ALL, including Rabies! What did I know! He should of known better. They got super sick, fever, lethargic, YOU NAME IT! I gave them Pedialyte and wrapped them up with a blanket because they were shivering. I was so pissed off! I called the vet's office and ripped them a new one! I would just say keep an eye on your furbaby and make sure that the fever doesn't creep up too high. |

| One of Mimi's pups had a mild reaction to her 2nd set of DHPP+Bordatella vaccines. About 3 hrs later, her muzzle swelled up & her eyes were swollen as well. I rushed her to the er (cuz I thought she couldn't breathe!) & they gave her some steroid shots & some Benedryl. She was fine after that...her 3rd round of shots, the doc mixed in some anti-inflammatories w/her shots.

| When Bo had his 3rd round of shots his muzzle started swelling too and he kept itching his ears. Took him back to vet they also gave him steriod shot and benedrayl. His next time they want to keep him half day and make sure he dose okay. They are going to give him steriod and bendrayl shot before hand.

| Kya came down with parvo right before she was supposed to receive her 3rd round, and she thankfully pulled through just fine. I was nervous about getting her last round done, since a vaccination is literally a small dose of the parvo, but we did it. She was a little lethargic for a day or two, but ate fine and her poo was normal, and today she's been her normal ball of energy! Thank goodness! |

| Vaccinations Yes ladies all of the things you mentioned can happen, most commonly the facial swelling. And can also be deadly, the face isnt the only thing that swells. The airways also swell and can become completly blocked. The Lepto is most often the culprit, and it is an allergic reaction. It can occur at any time in a dogs life, not just when they are puppies. So ALWAYS keep an eye on your dogs for a few hours after vaccinations. If they do swell from a vaccination get them to the vet ASAP and if your vet knows what he/she is doing they will not give that vaccination to that dog again |
