Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Spring Vet Check We haven't had our rescue a year yet, today I took her to the vet for her Heart Worm, Flea/Tick, shots etc. She was 7# when we got her and felt a little thin. Well, hubby who made me promise I woudn't feed her people food was the first to break that rule. She eats dinner with him and dessert. Then when she goes potty outside I give her a treat, he gives her three. Well, today she weighed in at.........10.5#! They suggested she go on a diet, they said 8# would be good. So.......I have a spoiled porky yorkie! They mentioned having her teeth cleaned and I told them after what happened to my Lhasa Poo Millie I didn't think I could do it.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Millie was almost 10 years old but had just had her senior work up and I was told she was healthy and could live several more years. Two weeks later I took her in to have her teeth cleaned because they told me I'd get a discount if I did it within a certain time after the senior physical. Two weeks after that she got really ill. I had to put her to sleep. That was the only time I'd ever had her teeth cleaned. I can't prove that the teeth cleaning had anything to do with her becoming so ill or if it was coincidence.

| Wow, that's terrible. Poor Minnie. Rox is only 2 but I just don't know what I'd do if something happened to her. I think I'll do more research on the teeth cleaning before I decide. She seems fine and her teeth look okay to me. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Like I said I can't prove the teeth cleaning had anything to do with it, but nobody explained to me why she went from healthy to gone in such a short time and that's the only thing that happened.
