| puppy food I was wondering if anybody could help me in choosing a new puppy food for Parker. I am LOST. When I got him from the breeder she was feeding him Royal Canin, but I was unable to find it anywhere. So, I put him on Iams Puppy, thinking it was one of the better foods. Now I'm hearing that it is really not that great. And Parker has never really been too good on it, he had diarhea for awhile and his vet couldn't find anything "medically" wrong,(she wormed him and gave him a dose of antiobotics for parasites). But I also decided to take him off the Iams wet food, and just give him kibble. That has seemed to be better but he still has soft stools alot of the time (that get stuck in fur, yuck). I took a look around at our ONE pet store in town, they don't carry Innova, Chicken Soup,Royal Canin. They do have the Nutro products, Science Diet and a few others I haven't heard anything about. We do have PetSmart and SuperPet in Ottawa which is only 40 minutes away, but it would be more convenient to get something that is available in this small one-horse-town Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks! |

| Nutro is better than Science diet. Its supposed to be one of the better foods. I know I am limited in what I can find. At pet supplies plus it offers a couple of the better foods. Thats where I am gonna get mine. I used to feed mine Science diet moist food as a treat. They didnt really eat it though so now I give them Lil Caesars once a day as a treat.

| Well I ended up getting Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice for Parker today. The other brands I wanted to try are not available here. So I just got home and mixed the Nutro in with his Iams. And What a goof He's actually picking out the Nutro, there's Iams bits all over the floor that he's picked out to get to the Nutro! Haha, and he's gobbled it right up, he usually just picks away whenever he's hungry, SO I guess I made a good choice so far |

| My baby started out on Iams.... Gross gross food!!! by products and corn, not too mention wheat in the puppy food. I switched to Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and rice Puppy. He loves it and I've noticed a difference in his coat. He looks great, thanks to Nutro. It's all natural and has added vitamens and minerals. |
