| Need new food ideas Our yorkie has been eating EVO for about the past 6 months. He used to get excited about it, but now won't eat it unless he is starving. The only way he will eat it is if we mix soft ID food with it. Anyone have a good idea for food for our little guy? |

| Jackson loves Before Grain (B.G.) made by Merrick! They have three flavors - Chicken, Buffalo and Salmon. He likes Buffalo the best. Wellness is also a good food, whether you want the Wellness CORE (grain-free) or the Wellness Super5Mix. Jackson likes both BG and Wellness and he was very hard to find a food for.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You could try the other flavor of EVO if he is doing well on it. Of course, there is nothing wrong w/ feeding some canned - it adds moisture to the diet, and the meat is less processed.

| Yep, I usually give Jackson a bit of wet canned food in the AM too mixed in with the dry.

| Oh yes! He SCARFS it down like I've never seen! Since his neuter 2 days ago though, he hasn't been doing that. He's still a tiny under the weather and hasn't fully gotten his appetite back.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Aw, poor punkin' . He'll be back to his old goofy stinkin' self in no time. I feel so bad though, when they feel bad. Give him some huggers from us.

I like Royal Canin too -- I use the Baby dog 30 formula for my puppies, because it is not as hard and it is a tiny triangle shape. Here is a link to a site that rates most dog foods. Pick any of the 5 or 6 star foods. Dog Food Reviews - Main Index - Powered by ReviewPost

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I want be much help, but Nolee is very picky! We change foods probably about 2 times a year! I even went to homecooking for a while. No he is on Natural Balance. I did have him on Evo, then raw, homecooking and now this. Just to let you know, it is a process.Hopefully your baby is not as picky as Nolee! Good Luck!

| Snickers also was not eating his EVO as much as usual this at week, so I keep the Red Meat Small Bites Evo n hand and mixed it in and he started eating again. I honestly don't blame him, who wants to eat the same thing everyday?? He ate his chicken Evo for a good 2.5-3months and now I am mixing both chicken and red meat. They sell smaller bags also (about 2lbs) so you can try it out. Another kibble similar to Evo is Instinct by Nature's Variety, or also Artemis Fresh Mix. If your pup is doing well on Evo, I would not change his nutrition levels too much, you might have belly problems. Instinct and Artemis Fresh Mix are 42% protein. Good luck!!

| You may want to try Solid Gold for picky eaters. Prince is really picky also, but he really likes this, and Blue Buffalo (without the life source bits) for small dogs. Both of these are kibbles. Both can be returned to the place of purchase, for whatever reason.
