Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Ears and teething! So macy is being totally stubborn through teething. She CAN hold her ears up, and shes teething, and just being a bratty princess. LOL. She looks kinda mad, eh??

| I guess there are more way than one to tape ears, eh? My breeder showed me how to do it very differently but luckily we never had to tape! Poor Macy, I'd be mad too!!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | You don't want to fold the ears together like that, there should be support between the two and the ear front and back should be shaved very very close. Here's an easy to follow site with pictures. Top Taping Yorkie Ears Taping Yorkshire Terrier Ears Stand Erect Yorkie Ears

| There's several ways to tape. First shave the ear all the way down on both sides. It takes the weight off the ears and you don't want the hair sticking to the tape when it's pulled off. Jon-An yorkies has an illustration on her web site. When I tape I leave them up for 5 days and down for 2, retape if necessary.

| There's no right or wrong way. You try each method. I've shaped the outside of checkbook cover to the shape of the inside of the ear. Covered it with surgical adhesive, placed a match from a match book (cutting off the sulpher part) centered the match onto the adhesive and placed inside the ear. I've used self stick gauze and folded the ear like you have, done the masking tape and even used breathe right strips and glued the ears together with surgical adhesive.......You just have to try different things, what works on one, may not work on another. Some are more stubborn than others, boys seem to be more troublesome....the testicle thing and their ability to pull them up at will until seated. So many things going on that take so much calcium.
