Donating YT 10K Club Member | Does she have poop stuck on her bottom or any fecal matter blocking her butt...another possiblity...her anal glands need expressing. Usually these are emptied when they have a bowel movement...but sometimes not.

| Conner scoots and wants to be alone when his glands are full. I now take him to the vet every other month to get them expressed because I have made 2 very expensive trips to the emergency hospital with him.

YT 3000 Club Member | chester has the anal gland thing to as well, they will scoot and bit at their butt, foods higher in fiber will help, more fiber, bigger poo and they will express better, green beans, canned pumpkin no sugar in it will help. The vet does the internal glands the groomer only do the external |

| Her anal glands need to be expressed. Here's a good site w/lots of info: Anal Sacs If it's impacted & it doesn't come out when squeezed, it would be safer to go to the vet & have it expressed internally.

| I agree with others that she needs her anal glands expressed. We have used Libby's canned 100% Pure Pumpkin, (be sure not to give the Pumpkin Pie Filling it must be 100% Pure Pumpkin) or Metamucil is also very good. Both are good for plugging up and letting loose. Good Luck! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank goodness my groomer does this for Nolee! I didn't know the vet would do it also, dah! Did you check into expressing Chloe's glands? Is Chloe better? I hope so. Good luck!
