| Suggestions for getting puppy to take to new food? Bailey has been on the Eukanuba the breeder fed since I got her. I want to switch her to one of the premium foods. I used the sticky above to request some samples. She liked the chicken soup (fed a few pieces as treats), but it's not so easy to find. Plus she choked on a piece of it. I really want to get her on the Wellness. It sounds like a great food and is easy to buy at Petco. I know to transition her slowly, but she doesn't really show any interest in the Wellness. When I wet a piece she will eventually eat it, but I am just afraid if I start mixing a little in with her food she will pick out the Eukanuba and ignore the Wellness. Any suggestions? Also, anyone have a good formula for transitioning?

| Bump. Really, no help at all? She will take a piece of the Wellness in her mouth and immediately put it back down. She has no interest at all. Basically do I just have to choose another food because she's not interested?

| I guess she is telling nope not gonna eat that But seriously no matter what food you pick you really should transition slowly otherwise you get surprises from both ends if you get my. Many of the premium food companies have sample bags or smaller ones what you might want to do is while Eukanuba is not the best food keep her on it order about 3 or four different kinds of samples and see what she goes for. I feed mine Natural Balance, I also like Merrick. Good Luck |

| Do you have any feed or agriculture supply stores in your area? These usually carry a variety of better foods to choose from than does Petco or Petsmart. They also usually carry the Chicken Soup since you know she likes that. If you're limited to Petco, try one of the Solid Gold brand foods. Oh, Petco also carries Natural Balance. Good luck!!

| I think there are some feed stores within 20-30 miles. I noticed the Chicken Soup is sold at this dairy I will be taking my class on a field trip next month. I did request a sample for Natural Balance too, but haven't heard anything yet. What worries me about that is that it might be too big since it's not puppy food. How big are the pieces? The Eukanuba is very small and even the Wellness and Chicken Soup samples are slightly bigger.
