YorkieTalk Newbie! | our guest has gone on heat!!! Looking afer a female yorkie which has now gone on heat. Problem is I have 2 unneautered males at home, (which I plan to neuter at a later stage). How does this process work, ie how long is she in heat etc, any practical advice? Hubby not keen to neuter males solely because we are doing afriend a favour.. |

| My suggestion is to keep them in seperate rooms. As for how long, 20-25 days to be sure. Good Luck!!!!

| We just went through heat with our Maddie and I think she has the longest heat on earth...or, at least it seemed that way! LOL! You can use belly bands on your boys and panties on the female. That's not 100% safe but it will give you a little peace of mind and it will keep your boys from marking all over your house. You'll have to keep them seperated too, with a female in heat right in your house it may cause your males to fight between themselves, prepare for some sleepless nights and constant supervision too. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh jeez. I just posted in the health section about my Zoe going into heat right now. I feel so stupid, I know NOTHING about this and now that I'm reading up I realize how ignorant I've been LOL
