Poor Maddy Has Diarrhea Maddy had a little bout of Diarrhea the past couple days. I am a little unsure why she would be not feeling well. The ONLY thing different is my gramma fed her a can of Ceaser dog food when she was dog-sitting. Do you think that could be it??

YES yes i do- that is NOT good food and if she is on a quality food- her poor tummy didn't know WHAT to do with that food- very likely it could cause diarrhea but it shouldn't last much longer if that is in fact what is causing it.

get to vet Yes..my peanut has been battling diarhea for the last week. They put her on flagyl and pepcid. Only feed her rice and boiled chicken for a few days and hopefully that will help. Could she be teething also. Peanut is also teething so I think that's why she is having diarhea also. Hope your little girl is feeling better soon....Sheryl...PeanutAnn Mommie

| Did you get Maddy to the vet? I hope so, a couple of days of diarrhea for a yorkie can cause severe dehydration, and can manifest into hemorrhagic gastroenteritis which is BAD and NOT FUN. Please update with what your vet said.

Words of wisdom, Amanda. I am devastated because yesterday I lost my precious 5 year tiny girl , during the night she got worse and start losing blood from diarrhea, severe dehydration installed in few hours, vet could not save her even using infusion. The little they are the faster dehydration occurs. It is super super fast. I was not prepared for this at all because she was very healthy and had NEVER EVER been sick before, then she got diarrhea from I don know were and, in 2 days, died. Let this be an advice for others who can still search help in time to save their darlings.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I too have been battling diahrea and yellow stools from my baby. She is finally become back to normal after spending $1,000 at the vet and lots of blood work and stool tests. The vet finally decided to deworm her and that has seemed to help alot and she also put on on Flagyl (which I don't like to use) but she starting to act like my little girl again. Again, I'm so sorry. My prayers are with you and your family in this time. Sheryl...Bartlett, IL...Peanut Ann Mommie

Thank you for your support, I've been crying a lot and that relieve a bit but, the worse, is the remorse feeling of not having paid attention sooner because I did not knew that serious damage could develop so fast. Another thing is the regret of not have been there beside her in the hospital, I feel like she died feeling abandoned. From now on, I will never leave a sick dog of mine on a hospital, I want to see everything they are doing and make him/her feel secure. If the professionals don't permit it, I will search another clinic.
