| Liver Shunt How many on here, have furbabies that have had Liver Shunt surgery? What kind did they have? Chance had the ameroid constrictor. Dr. Tobias did hers at U.T. How long ago did any of you have the surgery. How are your Yorkies doing now? Are they on a special diet still? Are they taking any medications? |

| Hi... We have had a few foster dogs have the LS surgery here in the Boston area. All of their levels are back to normal and they are all eating regular food....it was about 6 months I think.... I have an MVD dog and belong to one of the liver support groups...and they reccomend still giving supplements and low protein even after the surgery... Dr. Tobias is the best from what I hear...before I knew whether Quinn had MVD or LS...I was going to fly to down to have Dr. Tobias do the surgery if he needed it... I am sure there are more people on YT that can give you more specific info...

| I read so much about Dr. Tobias I felt like I knew her, before I met her. She was wonderful, Chance went right up to her and gave her puppy kisses. This is not like Chance, white coats usually make her hide. I can't wait until she gets her bile acid test done in 3 months to see if she is better. |
