| If your Yorkie is eating a food that is approved by AAFCO, she doesn't need a multi vitamin. The food is already full of them. Fish oil and vitamin e could give her a shiny coat. Could you just give her more food daily rather than giving Nutrical?

| I started giving Snickers Fish Oil and Vitamin E awhile back and my husband and I both notice how much softer and less matted his fur looks. It also helps to feed a good food and also to brush them alot. Your pup will gain some weight off the oils as well. I bought mine from the grocery store and use a pin to puncture them and drain them onto his dish and he licks it up happily.

| I use Missing Link. It has been working very well. Lacey's coat is very shiny and healthy. It has also helped with her digestion. I am a new dog owner, so if anyone disagrees with using Missing Link, please let me know. Thanks. |

I would not feed it. You could add canned food to her diet.

| I like to give salmon oil to my dogs every other month or so. And I like to add some NUPRO (natural supplement) to the food but now only once a week. |

Nutrical should only be used in young puppies for low blood sugar. If you are giving it to her on a regular basis, that's probably why she isn't eating her food and gaining properly. If you sipped on milkshakes all day, you wouldn't want dinner, right? This is an excellent thread on how to choose a super premium food for your Yorkie: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...e-samples.html | |

I do agree with the salmon oil, those omega fatty acids will go a long way for her skin and coat. How old is your puppy? How much does she weigh?

There are other options such as pre-made raw, home-cooked, dehydrated raw such as The Honest Kitchen (my tiny boy porked out on THK) and other things.. You may want to consider something with a little higher protein/fat level. While I feel pre-made raw to mine, they also get Wellness Core for kibble. It is not low protein by any means but isn't super high either. A good quality puppy food like Innova or Wellness might help as well. If the Innova didn't have turkey in it (mine has a food intolerance) I would be using that. BUT, I REALLY like the Wellness puppy and Wellness Small Breed as well. Most of these companies will send you some free samples. My advice would be chose two or three to get samples from, see which your pup likes best, and then DONT switch. So many people switch the second their pup doesn't dive in and that just creates huge pickyness (is that a word?? ) problems later on.
