| OK...now what...? Alright, I didn't get much back about Canidae, so I am assuming it is not as good as I thought it was. I am seeing a lot about Natural Balance however. Is this food safe, i mean no recalls or anything? I am just not familar with it. Anyone use it and love it? used it and hated it? I will have to go this week for new food, and I am wanting to get something healthy but something she'll like. She like RC but seems to be extra itchy. Maddie keeps eye problems. I clean them out twice a day and use antibiotic drops 3-4 times in her left eye for dry eye. Her right eye is also draining with dark discharge. Two previous vets have acted like this was normal. Is it for Yorkies. It would be great to find a food that may help her eyes clear up too |

| I can not help you with the Canidae because I have never used it. In regards to Natural Balance Milo is on the Limited Ingreedent Lamb and Loves Loves Loves it. I do know that back in 2007 the did have a recall and I do not remember if it was for the Wet or Dry food I think it was the Wet food because the outsourced the making of it. Since then they have put extra precautions into place you can go online with everybag and find out all the information regarding it. As for the itchies with RC I have read on hear that a lot of yorkies have that problem with RC. I am also aware that yorkies can have a problem with chicken so if the RC is Chicken I would try switching to another protien source and see it that help.s I hope this was helpfull for you Quote:

| I've been feeding Natural Balance Rolls totally now for about 3 weeks. They seem to gobble it up! Sometimes I may have to put a little parmesean cheese but this (so far) is the only food they eat without me coaxing them. My vet said they really don't need dry food if I keep up with their teeth. I have been trying to brush their teeth at least 3x a week and am going to try and do more often even.

| Thanks for your replies. I will probably try this for Maddie. I hope she likes it. I do like they have a variety of flavors to switch between. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | K, I just googled it. There are dog food rolls. Looks like good ingredients! I may have to try this! Thanks for the info.

| The 2007 recall was on both dry and wet, cat and dog foods involving the venison formula with or without "rice" stated in the ingredients list. Diamond Food is involved with NB's dry while Animal Nutrition Inc. handles NB wet. NB's own facility does the rolls/treats. I guess they're doing their own QC. No worries about the current Venison and Sweet Potato formula as that was a replacement for their Venison and Rice. They have a faithful following, so I guess they must be alright. | That's is how I found it to be something they both liked. For Maggies training, I used this all the time and when I would go home I still had some so I would do some tricks/training with Hot Rod. Initially I made a "gravy" with it and put it over dry. Once the vet said it wasn't necessary for dry food, I just started giving it by itself. They especially like the lamb.
