My pups little top pony tail ...Help Hey guys. Ive let my little one grow out his bangs so I could put his hair in a top knot pony tail. The problem is finding out whats best to use. Ive bought baby barrets and the slide off eventually. Rubber bands just get tangled up in his hair and making a mess. Im also having rough time getting him to cooperate. Any help and insights would be greatly welcome.

I use the little latex elastic bands and cut them out each night. I used to use the Goody brand but find them hard to work with. I recently went to Claire's (a store mostly for young girls for things like jewelry, make-up hair things....) not sure if you have these stores where you live, but the little hairbands there work perfect. They are so easy to stretch, and go the perfect tightness with only one or two twists, stay in and are easy to get out.... Love them. The ones I got were clear multicolored and had little sparkles on them around $3CAN for two packs and each pack has several hundred. They also came in clear. I can't believe how easy they are to use after all these years of dealing with the other brands.

Latex grooming bands work best for topknots. I really recommend getting band removal scissors. You can easily snag the band with the hook and snip it without pulling on the band which breaks the hair.
