| Kidney Stone Hi I need some help please!!!!!! My 9 year old yorkie has kidney stone in her bladder the vet says it is most likely a struvite stone. The surgery will cost 1000 dollars which is a lot for me right now. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do? he also mentioned changing her diet to another brand that may help dissolve the stone. Her urine has blood so I can't imagine the pain she is in right now. PLEASE HELP |

| Diet change may help dissolve it. It's probably worth a try. I'm not sure how well it works in small dogs, but urohydropropulsion is also a possibility.

| I would try a diet change first to see if the stones can be dissolved without surgery. Here is a good article for you: Canine Struvite Bladder Stones |
